Home Work Blues

More number of people are working from home, but research by two British universities suggests they are at least as prone to stress as office staff.Loneliness, loss of concentrartion, irritability and sleep problems are all potential hazards. Here are some ideas from experts and veteran home workers:
* Keep regular email contact with colleagues. To feel part of the loop, send your boss an email report as often as she or he’d like.
* If you are self employed, consider sharing an office with others.
* Build contacts at networking events in your field.
* Make a point of getting out lunch or in the evenings.
* Get to know your neighbours, postman and local shopkeepers.
* Draw a line between home life and your job:dress for work, keep fixed hours ,ignore household chores during the day and commute each morning even if it’s just walking the dog.
